Nearby Hanover, Indiana, with a population of 3,768, is the home of Hanover
College, a highly-regarded liberal arts college. Smaller communities
like Brooksburg, Canaan, Chelsea, Deputy and Dupont all have their own
festivals and their own sources of community pride. Jefferson County is
also proud to be the location of some of Indiana’s finest natural areas,
Clifty Falls State Park and Big Oaks Wildlife Refuge.
